The client and their family first meet with Kristen for about an hour from the comfort of their own home via GoogleMeet. They should prepare to share their medical history and cognitive, language or speech concerns. Kristen will ask lots of questions and assess the client's current level of function. At the end of the visit, Kristen will recommend an individualized program for the client and family.
Follow-up visits, if necessary, will lead the client through intensive one on one exercises, and provide tasks to complete at home. Kristen will offer education and counseling throughout sessions, focusing on maximizing the client's ability to function independently and communicate meaningfully.
